Kathmandu, Sept 12: Thirty-two central departments of the CPN (UML) have committed to reshaping the party in line with the spirit of GenZ.
In a public appeal made after a virtual meeting of the secretaries of the 32 central departments of the party on Friday, they pledged to address the overall problems of the country by reshaping the party as per GenZ's aspiration. "We are committed to making UML a party that aligns with the current demands of GenZ and solving the overall problems facing the country," the appeal read.
The departments have advocated for the formation of a national government within the essence and limit of the current constitution and the sentiments of the GenZ movement, so that current political uncertainty would be ended, said Madhav Dhungel, secretary of the UML organization department.
He mentioned that a special request was made to President Ramchandra Paudel for his initiative and leadership in finding a political solution soon. The meeting paid tribute to those who lost lives during the protest and urged government to ensure medical treatment to all injured ones.(RSS)
