Man dies in road accident

Surunga (Jhapa), Sept 11: A man has died in a road accident in Jhapa. Ram Shrestha, 59, of Bhanuchok in Bhadrapur Municipality-6 died in a road accident that occurred on Wednesday night on the Mechi Highway.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Khagendra Bahadur Khadka of the District Police Office, Shrestha, who was riding a motorcycle (Pr. 3.02.007 Pa 6090), died in an accident on the Mechi Highway in Sunmai of Buddhashanti Rural Municipality-7. Shrestha reportedly lost control of the motorcycle and crashed, while returning home from Ilam. 

Meanwhile, a man has been murdered another man who he allegedly found with his wife at his home. Narayan Gyawali,50, of Gairigaun, Mechinagar-7, murdered 40-year-old Faumodin Mohammad of Duwagadhi in the incident that took place on Wednesday night.

According to DSP Khadka, preliminary investigation has revealed that Gyawali killed Mohammad after meeting him with his 37-year-old wife Sujata Gyawali at his home on the same night. He died on the spot. Gyawali surrendered to the police after killing Mohammad.

Further investigation into the incident is underway. (RSS)
