Kathmandu, Sept 10: GenZ, who demonstrated taking different agenda of change, have vandalized and torched different public properties at various places in the country, including in Kathmandu Valley, on September on Sept 8 and 9.
The vandalism and arson attack caused a big damage to public, government and private properties as well as huge losses of lives and properties in course of demonstration. Hundreds of injured are undergoing treatment at different hospitals.
However, a different scenario was seen today. The GenZ are found involved in cleaning clearing debris from the damaged areas in groups with different equipment including broom, shovels.
A large number of GenZ are cleaning Singha Durbar area—four gates of Singha Durbar, Supreme Court, Maitighar Mandala, Babarmahal, Putalisadakm Thapathali, as well as New Baneshwor and Min Bhawan, among others.
Some volunteers have been distributing drinking water to those involved in cleanliness. A GenZ Dan Singh Dhami said a cleanliness campaign has been launched from road to thoroughfares.
More than four groups are involved in cleanliness in Singha Durbar premises.
Similarly, in Damauli of Tanahu district, the local youths are involved in clearing debris from the public properties and government offices damaged in course of the vandalism and arsoning carried out during the demonstration by the GenZ youths on Monday and Tuesday. (RSS)
