By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Sept 7: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has stated that his party was for good governance and that the government it led had worked hard against corruption.
"People should break the tradition to vote for the corrupt disregarding the Maoist Center which has proved while in government that the party is for good works, good governance," leader Prachanda said at a Dialogue with People programme organized at Bhote Odar in Lamjung under the Maoist Center with People: Mid-hill People's Awareness Campaign.
"We ran a campaign for good governance while in government as corruption was seen in parties, government and bureaucracy," he said, "We opened a door of solution for the justice to the victim of loan sharks by making laws," according to the information shared by Chair Prachanda's secretariat
The former Prime Minister said that his government had worked for social justice, took steps to solve citizenship problem, ensured national interests in the visits to China and India. "Internally, we worked for good governance, internationally, we worked in favour of national interests. And then we were removed from government by the strength of numbers because we were working well. But we are with the people and return to power with the power of the people."
