Kathmandu, Sept 5: The 19th National Day Against Human Trafficking is being observed today under the theme 'Let the three tiers of government join hands and banish vicious cycle of human trafficking'.

Issuing a message of best wishes on the occasion, Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens, Nawal Kishor Sah Sudi, said the government has been launching different awareness-related programmes by reducing all types of human trafficking--specially growing trafficking on children and adolescent.

"Human trafficking and smuggling is a heinous crime. It is socially condemnable and legally punishable. The government of Nepal has been making different legal structural and institutional efforts for rescue of victims and those affected from human trafficking and smuggling, their rehabilitation, counseling and legal treatment in order to prevent and control this heinous crime," said Minister Sudi.
