Krishnanagar (Kapilvastu), Aug 31: Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development Ramnath Adhikari has said that urea fertilizer will be easily available from India within ten days.
In an event held in Chandrauta today, he mentioned that the fertilizer imported from Kolkata will arrive in seven to ten days and farmers will have easy access to it.
He assured that there will be no shortage of fertilizer this time. Minister Adhikari emphasized that fertilizer should be distributed on the basis of the area of arable land and the production of the district.
"We must prioritize genuine farmers when distributing fertilizers, so that farmers who cultivate large areas do not suffer economic losses due to a lack of fertilizer," he said.
Abdul Kalam, the district president of the Nepali Congress and the mayor of Maharajgunj municipality, emphasized the need to make the government's fertilizer distribution system effective.
The district vice president of the NC, Umakant Khanal, suggested working on plans to provide farmers with fertilizers, seeds and other materials before the rainy season starting next year." (RSS)
