Civil Service Bill to be passed on September 4

Kathmandu, Aug 28: The House of Representatives (HoR) has set a calendar to pass the Federal Civil Service Bill, 2080 on coming September 4. 

After a discussion between Speaker Devraj Ghimire and chief whips of different political parties at Singhadurbar today, a tentative agenda has been set to pass the civil service bill on September 4 if the National Assembly returns the bill on time. 

It is crucial task of the session to pass the Civil Service Bill which is considered important in regard to the implementation of administrative federalism. 

A parliamentary calendar has been set for coming 15 days, shared Speaker's communications expert, Shekhar Adhikari. 

The HoR meeting is scheduled to take place on September 3, 4, 10, 11 and 12 as per the second fortnightly calendar of parliament in the Nepali month Bhadra (mid August to mid September). 

Likewise, a tentative timeline has been set to pass the School Education Bill on September 11. 

The parliamentary meeting scheduled to take place on August 29 will pass the land related bill and send it to the National Assembly while the HoR meeting to be held on September 3 will pass the citizenship related bill. 

He informed that there is a tentative schedule to pass the bill related to constitutional council that was returned from the Office of the President after discussion. (RSS)
