State Affairs Committee Chair Khatiwada resigns
Kathmandu, Aug 13: Chairperson of the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee of the House of Representatives, Ramhari Khatiwada, tendered his resignation today.
Khatiwada tendered his resignation to Speaker Devraj Ghimire. It may be noted that Khatiwada had announced to resign from his post during the lower house meeting on Tuesday. Khatiwada said he is resigning on moral grounds, after widespread pressure for him to do so since the report of the parliamentary committee to probe into the alteration of the 'cooling-off' period in the Committee's report on the Civil Service Bill was made public.(RSS)
