No alternative to Chairman Oli in UML: General Secretary Pokharel

By Santosh Subedi, Dhankuta, Aug.13: General Secretary of CPN (UML) Shankar Pokharel has said that there is no alternative to KP Sharma Oli in the party leadership.

He said so while addressing the inaugural ceremony of the seventh plenary meeting of the UML Koshi Province Committee.

He said, "Chairman Oli has played a significant role in bringing the UML to this point. The only out through the dire situation in the party is him. He has no choice but to save the party from this dire situation."

Pokharel made it clear that Oli cannot be replaced amid noises regarding the party leadership lately. 

He said that former President Bidya Bhandari should not return to politics as she is above the party and the chairmanship.

Speaking on the occasion, General Secretary Pokharel claimed that the slogan of Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepalis will be taken forward not only as a national aspiration but also as a destination.
