Morang, Aug. 8: Shabda Theatre in Pathari-Sanishchare, Morang, is preparing to stage World-Renowned play ‘Charandas Chor.’
The world-famous play ‘Charandas Chor’ is written by renowned Indian playwright Habib Tanvir.
The play will be performed at the Hariyali Community Forest Hall from August 15 to August 29, with three shows a day.
The organisers, Shabda Theatre, informed this by organising a press conference on Thursday.
The Nepali adaptation of the play has been done by Ashant Sharma and Rajan Khatiwada, while the direction is by Jeevan Khatiwada. The lead roles will be performed by Prasuna Adhikari, Karuna Timilsina, Raj BK, Prem Khatiwada, Bhumika Basnet, Suman Kuikel, and Santosh Rai.
The play, which will run for 14 days, is expected to attract around 10,000 audience members.
Previously, Shabda Theatre, chaired by Ashok Rai, had staged the play ‘Ani Deurali Runchha.’ According to Rai, the theatre has already spent over Rs. 650,000 for rehearsals and production arrangements for the upcoming play.
