By Rammani Dahal, Makwanpur, July 29: Minister for Drinking Water, Energy and Irrigation of the government of Bagmati Province, Shyam Bahadur Khadka, has resigned from his post.
Irrigation Minister Khadka, who became a minister from the Nepali Congress, resigned from his post on Tuesday. Khadka submitted his resignation to Chief Minister Bahadur Singh Lama Tamang.
The resignation letter submitted by Minister Khadka states that Khadka resigned because of being unable to fulfill his responsibilities owing to various reasons.
A no-confidence motion was registered against Lama, who is also the leader of the Nepali Congress parliamentary party, in the parliamentary party last Friday.
