Kathmandu, July 29: The Dasharathchand Highway in Baitadi and different other road sections in Gulmi are obstructed due to landslides and rain-induced disasters.

The Ridi-Bamitaksar road section was fully obstructed following the heavy rain since last night. Information Officer of District Police Office, Gulmi, Ganga Bahadur Saru said the road there is fully blocked after a flood in Daharekhola at Satyawati Rural Municipality.

The traffic along Ridi-Burtibang is halted after the flood occurred in the river.

A team of police personnel is deployed from Johang Khaireni at present but clearing the debris has not begun due to a torrential rain, Information Officer Saru said.

Likewise, a flood has occurred in the Badigad river in Gulmi.

The District Administration Office has asked the people in the riparian areas to apply precautions citing flood in the Badigad river.

Similarly, the Dasharathchandra Highway is blocked after a landslide at Jeude of Patan Municipality-4 in Baitadi district.
