Two sisters found dead in Bhaktapur

Kathamdnu, July 24: Two sisters, renting a home at Sintitar of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality-9, Bhakatpur, have been found dead on Thursday morning. 

According to the Deputy Superintendent of Police at the Area Police Office, Thimi, Nabaraj Dhungana, the deceased have been identified as 17-year-old Menuka Kandel and her 15-year-old sister, Srijana Kandel, of Panchapuri Municipality-8, Surkhet, who were currently renting a ground-floor apartment in a two-storey home owned by local Niraj Chakradhar. Both sisters were found hanging by the same rope on the passage of their rented floor.

He said that the deceased are sisters. 

According to homeowners, both sisters rented the floor just two weeks ago.

Police said that it has been revealed that the sisters had run away from home. 

DSP Dhungana said that the relatives of deceased sisters have yet to come into contact; therefore, an onsite report will be made only after that. 

Further investigation into the matter is underway.
