Kathmandu, July 15: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has held three officials including the Chief of the Bhaktapur Land Revenue Office.
The CIAA Spokesperson Rajendra Kumar Paudel stated that Chief of the Bhaktapur Land Revenue Office Kumar Acharya and two others were nabbed on the basis of a complaint for seeking bribe money worth Rs 2.45 million meant for preparing the land ownership document of 14 ropani and 4 aana in the name of tenants (mohi).
Nayab Subba Dipak Prasad Adhikari and office assistant Tikaram Raut were also nabbed on the same charge.
CIAA Spokesperson Paudel stated that two mobile phone sets from Acharya, a mobile phone from Nayab Subba Adhikari and a mobile phone from office assistant Raut and the bribe money was seized from the office premises on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the CIAA officials held an office assistant Dipak Paudel of the Driving License Unit in Kaski of the Transport Management Office on Tuesday for seeking bribe money from the service recipients by promising to provide driving license, making through the written test and trial. Office assistant Paudel is charged of receiving Rs 7,000 in bribe, according to the CIAA.(RSS)
