Naharki honoured,By Our Correspondent ,Tanahun, July 10: Vyas Municipality has honoured The Rising Nepal’s Tanahun correspondent, Amar Raj Naharki, with the Excellence in Journalism Award.

He was awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 and a certificate of appreciation during the 43rd municipal assembly for his outstanding news reporting.

 Mayor Baikuntha Neupane, Deputy Mayor Indira Darai, and Chief Administrative Officer Kashiram Gaire jointly presented the certificate, cash prize and honoured him on Tuesday.

Naharki, who holds a Master’s degree in Mass Communication and Journalism, has been actively involved in journalism for over two decades. 

Over the years, he has received numerous accolades, including the Provincial Education Journalism Award and the Education Writing Promotion Award jointly presented by the Ministry of Education and the Federation of Nepali Journalists, the Youth Journalism Award from Nepal Tarun Dal, as well as honours like the Epic Music Award and the Jayaprapti Music Award, among others.
