Various areas of Dhangadhi waterlogged

 Kailali, June 30: Different areas in Dhangadhi including Dhangadhi bazaar have been waterlogged due to incessant rainfall occurred from last night.

Mainly, Bishalnagar, Milanchowk, Shivanagar, Hasanpur, Campus road, Malikatol, Krishnanagar, as well as other surrounding areas of Dhangadhi have been waterlogged. 

Similarly, most of the shops have been waterlogged. Locals have been facing problems in their movement due to this. Locals said that the settlements here are inundated every year due to encroachment rivulets.  

A local leader Shiva Raj Joshi said the settlements here are waterlogged due to blacktopping of road without sewerage management. 

According to the District Police Office, Kailali, though various places in Dhangadhi have been waterlogged, no human casualty has been reported. (RSS)
