Cooperation of all needed in drug control: Chief Minister Karki

Inaruwa (Sunsari), June 26:  Chief Minister of Koshi Province Hikmat Kumar Karki has said that the cooperation and coordination of all is necessary to control drug abuse in the society.

At a programme organized by the District Police Office and Fan District Executive Committee in Sunsari headquarters Inaruwa today, he pointed out the need to move forward with everyone's cooperation and coordination as everyone's role will be important in drug control.     

He stressed the need for individuals, families and society to play a coordinating role from their respective places as everyone has a role and responsibility in controlling drug abuse, which is an obstacle to the country's development, prosperity and good governance.     

Minister for Internal Affairs and Law, Revati Raman Bhandari said that the province government is on a campaign to control the abuse of drug.     

He opined that everyone should cooperate as it would lead to a serious problem if the drug abuse could not be controlled in time.     

Chief of the Koshi Province Police Office, Deputy Inspector General of Police Ishwar Karki said that all efforts should be made to reduce the use of drugs in the society. (RSS)
