Ltd) officially launched its FusionCharge smart EV charging network, reinforcing its commitment to accelerating green mobility and environmental sustainability across Nepal," read a press release issued by the Huawei Nepal on Monday.

This marks the beginning of a broader plan to deploy 9 smart EV charging stations nationwide by the end of 2025, laying the foundation for a clean, connected, and future-ready transportation infrastructure, it read.

FusionCharge is Huawei’s next-generation EV charging solution that integrates Photovoltaics (PV) and Energy Storage Systems (ESS) to offer a grid-friendly, high-efficiency smart charging experience. Designed with a liquid-cooled, modular architecture and multi-level power pooling, it supports ultra-fast charging up to 500 kW, ensuring safe, efficient, and scalable charging for all EV types—from personal vehicles to public transport fleets.

Key Highlights of FusionCharge

FusionCharge supports all EV models—from personal vehicles to large fleets. It uses intelligent power pooling to boost power efficiency by up to 80%, and its liquid-cooled design ensures safe, ultra-fast charging (up to 500 kW) even in extreme temperatures (from- 35°C to 45°C). With a modular and scalable structure, it allows easy upgrades, longer lifespan (over 10 years), and protects your investment through multi-level insulation and safety. Quiet operation (below 50 dB) and universal compatibility ensure a smooth charging experience for users in any environment, according to the press release.

Technical Highlights

FusionCharge features liquid cooling, multi-level power pooling, and DC bus integration for ESS. It combines solar (PV) and battery storage (ESS) for efficient, grid-friendly charging. With support for reactive power control, OTA updates, and a unified monitoring platform, it enables smart energy use and seamless maintenance. It’s also VPP-ready, meaning it can support advanced energy management models like peak shaving and time-of-use optimization.

These features ensure the platform is future-ready, enabling flexible deployment in diverse environments—from residential and commercial settings to high-demand public stations.
