Basic military training concludes in Hile

By Our Correspondent,Dhankuta (Hile), June 7: A pass out ceremony of the serial number 12 of the Basic Military Training under the No. 2 Brigade Headquarters of Nepali Army was held at the Mahendra Military Camp, Hile Barracks, Dhankuta.

The training, which commenced in August–September 2024, concluded on Wednesday. The ceremony featured a military parade, flag salute by the chief instructor, parade inspection, a synchronised drill display, awarding the outstanding trainees in various categories, and ceremonial performances.

Following the inspection of the final military drill, chief guest Brigadier General Dil Bikram Subba, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the No. 2 Brigade Headquarters, addressed the newly graduated soldiers, congratulating them on the successful completion of their extensive training and reminding them of the weighty responsibility they now shoulder in serving the nation.

A total of 298 newly appointed soldiers were formally inducted and are set to be deployed across various units of the Nepali Army. 

GOC Subba expressed his confidence that the soldiers, instilled with the Army’s core values and traditions, will perform their duties with unwavering dedication, loyalty, integrity, and discipline, even in the face of adversity.
