By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, June 6: Senior film journalist Kuber Giri has been appointed as a member of the Film Censor Board Nepal recently.
Minister for Communications and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung handed over the appointment letter to Giri.
Active in entertainment journalism for over two decades, Giri has worked with various media houses.
For the past decade, he has been associated with Ratopati.com.
Giri has also produced and directed about half a dozen television serials and film-related programmes for Nepal Television, along with directing several music videos.
He currently serves as the Central Vice President of the Film Journalists Association.
Likewise, artist Bhima Mainali has also been appointed as another member of Censor Board.
With a film career spanning two decades, Mainali has worked as an actor, writer, and director.
She had also applied for the position of Chairperson of the Film Development Board. Previously, Sampanna Shrestha was appointed as a member of the committee.
