President Paudel observes Bhoto Jatra
By TRN Online, Kathmandu, June 1: President Ramchandra Paudel on Sunday observed the Bhotojatra festival, a ritualistic festival dedicated to the Rato Machchhindranath, the deity of rain and bountiful harvest.
The President attended the Bhotojatra festival at Jawalakhel on Sunday and observed the ritual of displaying the Bhoto (the jewel-studded mythical vest believed to belong to the deity).
Vice-President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Speaker Dev Raj Ghimire and other dignitaries graced the event.
