Rural roads blocked due to rain

Gaighat (Udayapur) June 1: Various rural roads in the hilly areas of the district have been blocked due to the rainfall on Saturday.   

 
The road section from the district headquarters Gaighat to Rauta have been blocked while rural roads including Rauta-Salle and Rauta-Bhutar have also been blocked.    

Rural roads in the Pambu area including Rauta-Namanta, Rauta-Aaptar, Nametar-Okhreni, Rametar-Bhadaure have also been blocked, said local resident Dilliram Magar. The road leading to Majhkharka via Rauta-Murkuchi and Dilli Bar has also collapsed at various places and the road has been blocked due to the formation of potholes by floods.    

Continuous rain was received for more than three hours in the district on Saturday.    

Ganga Ghalemgar of Dumre said that the Bhalayadanda-Barre, Dumre-Udayapurgadhi rural municipality roads have also collapsed due to the rain.  

  
The road connecting Mainamaini from Kothu in Belka Municipality-8 has collapsed and thus remains shut for traffic. (RSS)
