No alternative to institutionalization of Republic: DPM Singh

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May 28: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development Prakash Man Singh has said that there is no alternative to further consolidation of the institutionalization of federal democratic republic. 

While speaking at an interaction on “Democratic Movement and Tirtharam Dangol” organized today on the eve of republic day, DPM Singh said the federal democratic republic was established from the struggle of people. 

“We have seen Monarchy, also, seen constitutional Monarch. Nothing happened in those periods except for suspension of people's rights by the kings whenever they saw any chance. Federal republic can only serve people's interest. There is no alternative for its institutionalization and development”, DPM Singh said.   

The Deputy Prime Minister said the contribution of Tirtharam dai (elder brother) can be honored only by accomplishing people’s expectation of prosperity by maintaining political stability on the basis of constitution promulgated in 2015. 

The former general secretary of Nepali Congress Singh claimed that a significant progress has taken place in the infrastructure development after the restoration of democracy.
