Traffic resumes in Daunne road section

By Bikash Adhikari, Nawalparasi (West), May 24:The one-way traffic has resumed in the Daunne road section of the East-West Highway, which was disrupted due to incessant rainfall since Friday night. 

The traffic was disrupted after the road near Khursani Khola of Bardaghat Municipality-4 was flooded. Traffic has resumed one-way on Saturday. 

The road, which was paved just a few days ago, collapsed and submerged about 8 meters. 

Chief of the District Police Office, Superintendent of Police Anupam Shrestha, said that the halted vehicles are moving towards their destinations. 

Commuters have been facing traffic halts whenever it rains, in line with Daunne Road being under expansion.
