Road collapses in Daunne, East-West Highway disrupted

 By Bikash Adhikari, Nawalparasi (West), May 24: The Daunne road section of the East-West Highway has been disrupted due to incessant rainfall on Friday night. 

The traffic was disrupted after the road near Khursani Khola of Bardaghat Municipality-4 was flooded.

The road, which was paved just a few days ago, has collapsed, and about 8 meters of the road has been submerged. 

Chief of the District Police Office, Superintendent of Police Anupam Shrestha, said that rainfall has stopped and water has stopped flowing as of now. Efforts are currently being made to resume the road. 

Vehicles have been stopped in Bardaghat to Dumkibas due to a road blockage. 

Hundreds of passengers have been stranded as a result.
