Three arrested for fraudulent foreign employment schemes

Kathamdnu, May 8: Three people have been arrested for cheating people by promising foreign employment with lucrative salaries. 

The arrestees have been identified as 28-year-old Jasman Tamang of Bidur Municipality-13, Nuwakot, and currently living at Tarekeshwor Municipality-2, 36-year-old Bhupal Shrestha of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-16 and living at KMC-9, Min Bahadur Thapa, 48, of Galyang Municipality-4, Syangja, and currently living at Nagarjun Municipality-5.

Tamng deceived two victims into paying Rs five hundred twenty thousand, promising to send them to Poland, while Bhupal took Rs eight hundred thousand from three, claiming to send them to Canada, and Min Bhaar took Rs 7.5 million from three, claiming to send them to Canada. 

After the victims filed complaints, police deployed from Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Teku, arrested Tamang from KMC-12 on Tuesday, Bhupal from Kathmandu-26 on Wednesday, and Rupesh Kuma Nagarjun Municipality-5 on Wednesday.

All three of them became out of contract with the victims following the monetary transaction. 

Both have been sent to the Department of Foreign Employment in Tahachal, Kathmandu, for further investigation and action.
