By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May 8: Minister for Home Affairs Ramesh Lekhak has said that the government will move forward as per the agreement reached between the Nepali Congress and the CPN (UML).
He said so while speaking at a program titled 'Progress to date and future direction in the implementation of the Second National Action Plan' organized by the National Human Rights Commission, the National Network of Conflict-affected Women, and The Story Kitchen in Lalitpur on Thursday.
According to him, it has been 10 months since he assumed the post of Home Minister, and it is not a long period. Because of the change in government in 10 months, the period looks like a term of government. But, this time the government will not change, these 10 months will add to become many more 10 months.
Home Minister Lekhak said, "It has been 10 months since I assumed the post of Home Minister, and it is not a long time. Governments used to change every 10-10 months in the past because of that, it felt like a term of one government. But, the government this time will not change in 10 months. These 10 months will add to become many more 10 months; therefore, 10 months is not a long period.
Home Minister Lekhak said that the law regarding transitional justice has been completed.
There was a disturbance on it due to the incompleteness of the law.
He said that they have completed the law in the last nine months.
