Deliberations continue on govt' policies and programs

MP Upendra Yadav taking part in discussion on policies and programs

Kathmandu, May 6: Members of Parliament representing different political parties continued to give their feedback and comments on the annual policy and program for the fiscal year 2082/083 brought by the government.     

MP Upendra Yadav said that policies and programs should help the poor, farmers, and the people in lower strata of the society while Abdul Khan said that policies and programs should be formulated according to the aspirations and needs of the people     

Mohan Bahadur Basnet suggested that although the policies and programs have been very good the plans should be prioritized.     

Bhagwati Chaudhary said that policies and programs should be prioritized based on social justice while Tshiring Lhamu Lama Tamang drew the government's attention for lack of concrete plan to promote federalism and its enforcement in the country.     

Bir Bahadur Balayar suggested promoting organic fertilizer to replace the huge import of chemical fertilizers while Rajendra Kumar Rai said that it is necessary to maintain balance in the development of the hilly and mountainous regions.     

MPs Dig Bahadur Limbu, Tara Lama Tamang, Maina Thapa, Sita Mijar, Surya Prasad Dhakal, Pratima Gautam and Hrishikesh Pokharel gave their feedback to the government's new fiscal year policy and programmes presented by the President before the parliament on May 2.     

The House of Representatives will resume deliberations at its meeting to begin at 11:00 on Wednesday.(RSS)
