London, May 3: It has been confirmed that the body found on the banks of the Thames River in London last Tuesday is that of a Nepali student.
Bipin Duwadi, spokesperson and deputy chief of mission of the Nepali Embassy, said that the fingerprint test conducted by the London Metropolitan Police confirmed that the body belonged to 20-year-old Susan Oli of Musikot Municipality-12, Rukum (West).
Duwadi, as per information provided by London police, said that the fingerprint matched that of a National when the embassy tested the fingerprints of the Nepali nationals requested from the passport department.
As per the preliminary investigation, to looks like it might be a case of suicide. Preparations are underway to manage the body in coordination with the family of the deceased.

Saying that all the development on the case has been informed to the family, he said, "The preliminary investigation shows no sign of foul play. The details will be revealed after further investigation."
He said that coordination is being done with the family regarding whether to take the body to Nepal or perform the last rites in the UK after the post-mortem examination is completed.
The campus where Oli was studying called the police and the Embassy of Nepal in London after Oli went missing.
