One dead, six injured in Doti jeep accident

Doti, Apr.30: One died while six others got injured when a jeep (Sudur Paschim Province 02001 Ja 0567) en route from Dhangadhi to Purchaudi in Baitadi met with an accident on the Bhimdatta Highway at Melkhola, Jorayal Rural Municipality-2, Doti last night.

According to District Police Office Chief Binod Sharma, 45-year-old Harka Bahadur Negi died in the accident. Negi, who was seriously injured in the accident, was declared dead by doctors on arrival at  Maya Metro Hospital, Dhangadhi.

Dhirendra Negi, aged 27, Jagdish Joshi, 44, Ram Bahadur Negi, 53, Dhana Negi, aged 65, Bir Bahadur Negi, aged 28, and driver Ashok Bom, aged 24, of Dilasaini Rural Municipality-4 Baitadi, were injured. Among the injured, Dhana, aged 65, and 24 year old driver Bom are in critical condition.

The injured are receiving treatment at Seti Provincial Hospital.
