Sangita returns to Paleti after 18 years

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Apr. 28: Sangita Rana Pradhan, who first sang at Paleti in 2007, returned to the show on Friday and Saturday as a solo performer.  She performed over a dozen compositions in the event.

She performed songs like Sab Sukh Diyo, Uni Rahichau Kina Ho Sangini, Jhara Barkha Ritu Aayo, Maun Basi Bityo Raat, Kathin Samayma, Ek Mero Ghanshyam, Kun Papile Kun Nishturile, Jau Pheri Man Yo Mero Dukhaayer Jau, Jiwan Chupchaap and more songs.

Composer Aabhash, who has been curating Paleti for the past 20 years, had collaborated with Sangita on some of the thumari compositions.

At Paleti, Sangita performed the lyrics of veteran lyricists like Kali Prasad Rijal, Ratna Shumsher Thapa, Manjul, Nirmohi Byas, Aarti Newa, Manjit Tamang, and Aabhash.
