Weather to remain fair across the country today

KATHAMDNu, Apr. 25The Weather Forecasting Division has stated that local and westerly wind patterns are having a partial effect on weather conditions across Nepal. 

The weather will remain partly to generally cloudy in the hilly areas of Koshi Province, Gandaki Province, Karnali Province, and Sudurpaschim Province this afternoon, while the rest of the region will remain mostly clear.

There is a possibility of light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at a few places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces. 

Light rain and snowfall are also possible at one or two places in the high-altitude areas of these provinces.

Meanwhile, the temperature in the Kathmandu Valley has been rising steadily and is expected to remain high through Saturday, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

Today, the temperature in the Valley is expected to range between 31 and 34 degrees Celsius.

Tonight, the weather is forecast to remain partly to generally cloudy in the hilly regions of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, with the rest of the country experiencing clear skies.

Light rain with thunder and lightning is likely at a few places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces. Light rain and snowfall are also expected at some places in the Himalayan regions of Gandaki and Karnali provinces, and at one or two locations in the high-altitude areas of Koshi Province.
