Kathmandu, April 20: The third edition of the Buddhist International Travel Mart is scheduled to be held on May 24-25. Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) is organizing the mart to promote tourism.
The mart's opening ceremony,
international conference and exhibition will be held in Kathmandu on May 24 and
25, while the B-to-B session, farm trip, networking dinner and closing ceremony
will be held in Lumbini on May 26, according to NATTA.
More than 150 buyers (international
hosted buyers) and over 60 national and international sellers interested in
international Buddhist tourism are expected to participate in the mart.
Similarly, more than 1,100 visitors
from major Buddhist countries including India, China, Bhutan, Myanmar, Thailand,
Malaysia and Sri Lanka will attend the mart.
NATTA believes that the mart will
prove to be a historic opportunity for the promotion of spiritual tourism,
especially Buddhist heritages, of Nepal. (RSS)
