Farmers busy planting pre-monsoon paddy in Dang

By Liladhar Oli, Ghorahi, April 19: Banglachuli Rural Municipality's Arjun Khola and Suka Khola nearby fields are fertile for agriculture in Dang. 

Banglachuli Rural Municipality - 8 Khaireni's Sher Bahadur Budhathoki is busy planting pre-monsoon paddy.

 He said that with the irrigation facility from Arjunkhola, pre-monsoon paddy plantation has become easier these days. "This is a good means to increase earnings," Budhathoki said.

Similarly, Khaireni's Chuma Rana's family is also busy in the paddy plantation. They harvest paddy twice a year.

Local Kisan Rana said, "We have been planting pre-monsoon paddy for a long time as there is no water scarcity in this place."  

Rural Municipality - 4's Ward Chair Das Bahadur Dangi said that most of the farmers of wards number 3, 4 and 8 plant pre-monsoon paddy to make good money. 

Pre-monsoon paddy plantation has been increased in Khaireni, Gahatera, and Suka Khola, among other places.
