blog

By Bom Lal Giri, Nawalpur, Apr.11: The commuters have been facing hassle because of the disruption of the  Narayanghat–Butwal road section of the East-West Highway.

According to Superintendent of police Yadav Dhakal, said that not a single vehicle has passed through the section since Thursday midnight.

He said, "I am between the Dumkibas and Daunne road section. Since a single vehicle has passed through since Thursday midnight. Vehicle will only pass through with assistance from dozer otherwise, it slips."

The road became slippery after rain fell on two feet of frozen dust.

The work of widening the road has started by stopping vehicles from 11 am to 3 pm on Chaitra 10. However, more hassle has been added to passersby due to light rain since Thursday night.

He said that there is a huge traffic in Daunne (west) than Daunne (east) because of road disruption.

There is around 20-kilometer-long traffic to Choramara from Dauune (West).

He remarked, " I can only imagine the condition during winter when the situation is dire now.

District Traffic Police Chief, Police Inspector Janakraj Banjara, said that despite 24-hour police deployment, the problem has not been resolved.

“Loaded vehicles are stuck because of which even small vehicles cannot pass, creating huge traffic in the section,” said Police Inspector Banjara.
