One dead in road mishap

By Prabin Kumar Sharma, Rauthat, Apr.11: One person died after being hit by a tractor in Gamhariya, Maulapur Municipality-3, Rautahat. The deceased has been identified as Sitadevi Sah Kanu, 45, of  Gamhariya, Maulapur Municipality-3, according to the Maulapur Area police Office.

On Thursday, a motorcycle (Na 60 Pa 3438) coming from the opposite direction skidded and crashed by tractor (Province 2 -03- 001 Ta 3524)coming from Maulapur towards Gamhariya resulting in the death of the motorcycle rider Sah on the spot, said Mahesh Mahato Koiri, ward chair of Maulapur Municipality-3.

Police said that the deceased motorcycle driver's husband, Lakhindra Sah Kanu, has returned home after undergoing general medical treatment. 

The tractor and motorcycle are under the control of the Area Police Office, Maulapur.

Police Inspector Prabhesh Karki of the Area Police Office, Maulapur, said that the tractor driver, Sandesh Sah, is absconding, and the incident is under investigation.
