Siraha, April 8: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that presuming the revival of the monarchy in the country is merely day dreaming.
Inaugurating the 11th district convention of the CPN (UML) in Siraha district headquarters on Tuesday, Prime Minister Oli asserted that the Nepali people would no more accept the monarchy while noting the pro-monarchists' March 28 actions had unmasked their realities.
"The revival of monarchy is a day-dream. It is not of any use. Their March 28's actions have broken the very dream, PM said, assuring the general public that the existing system would not get abolished.
He further said that the anarchist and destructive elements that went to the extent of putting fire on the commoners' house, pharmaceutical company, media house; killing of individual putting him on fire inside a locked house could not be accepted any more.
The government's focus is on good governance, development and prosperity, PM Oli reiterated, adding he was effortful to realize the national aspiration of a prosperous Nepal and happy Nepalis.
He pledged to strengthen democracy by making social justice, equality, inclusiveness and proportional system more effective.
In his address, PM Oli said that the government has paid special attention to complete the Kamala Bridge along the postal road connecting Dhanusha and Siraha on time.
Earlier today, PM Oli had addressed the Madhes Province Assembly in Janakpur.(RSS)
