By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Apr. 4: Jhapa FC held the former champions Kathmandu Rayzers to a goalless stalemate on matchday six of the Nepal Super League (NSL) 2025. Both teams have now drawn two consecutive matches at Dasarath Stadium. Kathmandu and Jhapa missed the chance to catch up with table-toppers Lalitpur City FC.
The draw leaves Kathmandu and Jhapa with two points each, sitting in fourth and fifth positions respectively. Although Kathmandu had more shots on target, they failed to convert their chances. Jhapa also couldn't find the net during their counterattacks. Kathmandu opened their campaign with a draw against Lalitpur City FC, while Jhapa began the season with a draw against Butwal Lumbini FC.
Meanwhile, disciplinary actions have been taken against Pokhara Thunders FC for unsporting behavior during their clash with Lalitpur City FC on March 2. NSL announced in a press release on Thursday that Sundar Thapa has been banned from entering stadiums for the remainder of the NSL 2025 season. Deepak Shrestha has also received a two-match suspension for aggression and violent conduct in the dugout area.
Additionally, NSL fined Pokhara Thunders Rs. 50,000 for failing to maintain league standards of discipline and sportsmanship. The incident occurred after the referee disallowed Pokhara's goal in the 80th minute against defending champions Lalitpur City FC. Sundar Thapa reportedly manhandled the referee and NSL tournament director Sanjeev Mishra during the heated exchange.
