RSS ready to collaborate with sub-national govt: Chair Jha

blog

Kathmandu, March 30: Executive Chairperson of the Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS), Dharmendra Jha, has said the RSS is committed to the expansion of news service by collaborating with province and local governments.

In a meeting of thematic committee (Communications and Information Technology sector) held at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology on Sunday, Chair Jha viewed all levels of government should support and protect RSS for the national interest.

"We are ready to work by collaborating with three-tiers of government", he vowed. Chair Jha complained that though they had sent a circular, informing about the issue of constructing office building in Sudurpaschim Province time and again, it was not heeded.

According to him, RSS is ready to become more visible at province level. "I request the province governments whether they take responsibility or not in term of strengthening RSS," he shared.

The RSS Chair further said RSS wants to establish a mother language service fund, but no province government has yet shown their interest in it. He urged the province governments for the collaboration to construct office building for RSS in Hetauda and Surkhet.

However, he shared Sudurpaschim Province has allocated seven million rupees but it would not be enough. (RSS)
