Chaudhary and Pokhrel appointed Board Members of Gorkhapatra Corporation

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Mar 21: Acting editor of Gorkhapatra Online Lok Bahadur Chaudhary 'Lucky' has been appointed as a board member of the Gorkhapatra Corporation. 

Ministry for Communication and Information Technology has appointed him as a board member of the Corporation for four years from the ministerial decision of March 20.

Ministry's Joint Secretary Koshhari Niraula handed over the appointment letter to the Chaudhary on Friday.

Chaudhary has been working in the corporation for the last 16 years. 

Master's Degree holder in Sociology and Political Science Chaudhary is doing M. Phil in Journalism at Tribhuvan University (TU).

A permanent resident of Dhangadhi - 5, Kailali, Chaudhary has been appointed board member as per the Gorkhapatra Corporation Act (2019 BS) 1963, Rule 8 (1). 

Similarly, Communication and Information Technology Ministry's under-secretary and Communication Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung's Personal Secretary Surath Pokhrel has also been appointed a board member of the Corporation. Permanent resident of Rishing Rural Municipality- 5, Tanahun Pokhrel has obtained Master's Degrees in History and Political Science and has an LLB.
