'Ordinance relating to land will be presented at appropriate time'

Chitwan, March 15: Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Balram Adhikari, said the ordinance the government issued on land would be presented in the parliament at an appropriate time. Minister Adhikari said it while talking to media persons here Saturday.     

Some of the ordinances were already endorsed by the parliament, while the remaining one would be presented at right time, he added.     

"Government adopts a measure for it. Even after the passage of 60 days of the issuance of ordinance, there are other options. The ordinances would be passed once there will be majority of the ruling parties in the National Assembly," Minister Adhikari explained.     

According to him, government activities could be observed even from a positive angle. Government is ready to resolve the problems like poverty and landless dwelling.     

Currently, a law was being drafted to solve the problems relating to cooperative, the Minister informed, adding that government was for regulating the cooperatives sector.     

On a different note, the Minister said government needs to change the provision on the incentives provided to the dignitaries.(RSS)
