One dies in road accident in Tinkune

Kathmandu, March 15: A person died in a road accident in front of Gairigaun Petrol Pump in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-32, Tinkune, this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Sukram Tamang, 26, of Panauti municipality-11 in Kavrepalanchowk, currently living at Dhapakhel in Lalitpur, said Spokesperson at the District Police Range, Kathmandu, Apil Raj Bohara. 

The accident took place when a tipper (Ra 1 Kha 2622) hit a motorcycle (Pra 2-02-003 Pa 6245) at 4:30 am. Tamang died in course of treatment at Trauma Centre. 

Similarly, pillion rider Ramesh Tamang of Bethanchowk in Kavre was injured in the accident, said police. He is undergoing treatment at Trauma Centre.  

Police impounded the tipper from cargo complex at Tribhuvan International Airport and the driver has been absconding. (RSS)
