Siraha, March 12: A 500-bed capacity cardiac and diabetes care hospital is to be constructed IN Lahan Municipality-4.
Dr Sanjay Prasad Saha, consultant physician at the hospital, shared that Nepal Heart Foundation has initiated the construction process for the hospital. It is to be constructed with the financial assistance of Rs 2 billion from two Germany-based international non-governmental organizations named 'Nepal Med Germany' and 'Rotary Club Katus'.
According to Dr Saha, the hospital will be constructed on 11 bighas of land provided by Lahan Municipality and the Detailed Project Report (DPR) has already been prepared for this.
The target is to construct the hospital within the next five years," he said, adding that the OPD service has already been started from January 17 by constructing two buildings on the public land provided by the municipality. The buildings were formally inaugurated on Monday.
Lahan Municipality Mayor Mahesh Prasad Chaudhary and world renowned heart surgeon Dr Kumud Dhital jointly inaugurated the newly constructed building.
Mayor Chaudhary said that the operation of the Cardio and Diabetic Centre in Lahan was a matter of pride for Lahan. (RSS)
