By A Staff Reporter,Biratnagar, Mar. 12: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the government has been working diligently to strengthen the federal democratic republic, ensuring good governance and prosperity to move the nation forward.
Addressing a special session of the Koshi Provincial Assembly here on Tuesday, Prime Minister Oli emphasised the need to safeguard the constitution achieved through the people’s sacrifices and struggles.
He also mentioned that necessary amendments would be made in favour of the people and the federal democratic republic. He clarified that since this system allows everyone to compete, there is no need for expressing ire against this system.
Instead, he stressed that the system can be further enhanced through constitutional, peaceful, and governance-oriented approaches.
“We aim to eradicate poverty and backwardness. However, merely eliminating poverty is not enough. We must advance the nation by fulfilling all biological and justifiable human necessities,” said Prime Minister Oli.
“Under this system, where citizens hold supreme authority, we now want to work swiftly for prosperity. We want to create employment opportunities. But before that, we must prioritise entrepreneurship," he said.
"Therefore, the country must move forward, not backward. Governments at all three levels must collaborate in accordance with the constitution to drive national development," the Prime Minister added.
Prime Minister Oli urged the nation to uphold unity amidst its geographical, cultural, and ethnic diversity and to establish Nepal as a sovereign, democratic, and prosperous country on the world map through knowledge and pride.
