Biratnagar, March 11: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli asserted that the judicious needs of the people must be easily fulfilled.
Addressing the 23rd meeting of the Koshi Province Assembly's sixth session here today, PM Oli suggested the provincial government to formulate appropriate policies to drive development and ensure good-governance in the province.
Oli claimed that a lot of works have been carried out since the implementation of the federal democratic republican system in the country. He mentioned the narrative of 'system has changed but the situation remains the same' was utterly incorrect.
The Head of the Government called for unity among one and all to realize the national aspiration of 'Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali'. He also called on everyone to come together to contribute to the nation-building campaign.
Stating that the government has done a commendable job in agriculture, tourism, industry, education, health, environment and employment generation, Oli emphasized the need to develop and promote entrepreneurship among youth to end unemployment.
According to him, the government was planning to establish industrial area in all seven provinces for economic development of the country and to improve the lives of people.
He reaffirmed the incumbent government's commitment towards protecting and further strengthening federal democratic republican system.
PM Oli recognized Koshi Province as the land of knowledge, civilization and sacrifices and acknowledged the important role of the Himalayas in the Koshi Province for creating balanced environment and appropriate ecosystem.
"Koshi Province, which is rich in mountains, natural heritages and diverse geography, is a pride for us," Oli said, noting the Province's abundance in terms of ethnic communities, religions, cultures, arts, natural and religious heritages.
He also pledged federal government's steadfast support to the Koshi provincial government.
On a different note, the PM claimed that Nepal has achieved 48 per cent progress in Sustainable Development Goals.
"I am firmly committed to peace, national unity and development," the PM Oli said. He expressed his concern over Nepali youths flocking abroad in droves for employment after not receiving proper wage back home due to lack of skills in them.
He said that incumbent government was moving forward to the path of cracking down corruption and bringing about positive changes in the country.(RSS)
