Kathmandu, March 11: Lawmakers taking part in special hour of the House of Representatives (HoR) on Tuesday have called for the government to ensure its effective and result-oriented performance.
Lawmaker Prem Suwal spoke the necessity of ensuring free school and university education in order to address the issues of youth.
Likewise, lawmaker Chitra Bahadur KC said the property of those dong politics and remaining in power after 2046 BS should be investigated and their misdeed be brought into action.
Lawmaker Prabhu Shah expressed concern over excessive capital flight from Nepal through foreign apps and drew attention of the government to develop Nepali apps. He demanded regulation rather than control over the social networking sites.
Dr Amresh Kumar Singh said now leaders' regime is prevailing across the country rather than democracy. Noting that corrupt and brokers are protecting the leaders' regime, he demanded pro-people performance.
Lawmaker Surya Bahadur Thapa Chhetri said erstwhile governments were also equally responsible for bringing the situation to this stage.
Lawmaker Tsering Lhamu Sherpa (Tamang) warned the former monarch Gyanendra Shah of coming to election system by establishing a new party in line with the Constitution.
Similarly, Sumana Shrestha stressed the need for effective implementation of the Compulsory and Free Education Act, calling for a safe educational environment for children.
