Janamat Party stresses on social democracy

Mahottari, March 11: Chairperson of the Janamat Party, Dr CK (Chandrakant) Raut, has said the country should now head on the path of social democracy. 

Talking to RSS this morning after the conclusion of the two-day central committee meeting of the party in Bardibas, Chair Raut stressed the need of moving ahead making federal democratic republic system more prosperous as the foundation of socialism has not been prepared. 

Janamat Party has adopted a production-oriented social democracy to prepare the basis for this system, he added.

"How can we be able to achieve socialism as capitalist revolution was not held in the country," he questioned.  

Chair Raut clarified that that the party drew the conclusion of strengthening 'social democracy' stressing on production. 

He shared that directly-elected executive head would be the outlet to the country, stating that it would be acceptable to his party if consensus is forged either for a directly-elected president or prime minister.    

Chair Raut argued that the rumor about restoration of monarchy spread in the country in recent period is baseless. 

The two-day meeting concluded on Monday stressed the need of building people-based party and forwarding party unification process with other parties having same ideology.

A three-member taskforce led by party Vice-Chairperson Abdul Khan was formed to hold discussion for the same. (RSS)
