Kathmandu, Mar.3: A total of 6, 879 passengers have flown from Gautam Buddha International Airport located in Bhairahawa in February. It is the second international airport in the country.
According to Pratap Babu Tiwari, the general manager of Gautam Buddha International Airport, more than 115 international flights have taken off in February.
Of this, 2,403 passengers traveled from Fly Dubai, 3,265 from Jazeera Airways and 1,097 from Thai AirAsia.
Similarly, the airport office said 211 passengers were flown from 14 chartered flights, one of which is from Nepal Airlines.
4,040 transit passengers flying through Nepal Airlines and Fly Dubai, which fly in connection with Tribhuvan Airport, have taken services from the airport.
General Manager Tiwari said that flights have been taking place regularly at the airport recently, which has the airport moving.
