'NC, UML working together in time of crisis in country'

Bhaktapur, March 1: CPN (UML) senior vice-chairman Ishwar Pokharel said that Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) have been working in collaboration since the past during the time of crisis in the country.     

Addressing a programme of the UML's sister organizations in Bhaktapur on Saturday, the UML leader argued that the current alliance of the NC and UML in government is the continuation of the part of collaboration.     

"The NC and UML are not only the two political parties rather they are the political pillars to work together in the time of crisis. The current alliance is also an example of the same exercise," the UML senior vice-chairman said.     

The NC and communist forces have come across cooperation and competition in different stages of the history and now the two parties have forged alliance to troubleshoot challenges and compete in the elections, Pokharel viewed.     

He shared that the NC and UML fought together against Rana regime and monarchy and to promulgate the constitution in 2015 too.     

Likewise, the UML senior vice-chairman stated that the NC and UML would compete in the upcoming elections and both the parties are preparing accordingly.(RSS)
