Zipline connecting Kailash and Baikuntha constructed

Manahari, March 1: Kailash Rural Municipality of Makawanpur has constructed a zipline in a way to connect Kailash and Baikuntha.     

Chair of Kailash Rural Municipality, Lok Bahadur Muktan said the 1200-meter long zipline was constructed at the cost of Rs 8.8 million.     

He said that the first phase of trial of Kailash-Baikuntha Zipline constructed at ward-2, Baikuntha has also been completed.     

It will also benefit the folks of Rorang Benighat and Gajuri Rural Municipalities of Dhading, and Thahanagar, Raxirang and Manahari Rural Municipalities of Makawanpur.     

Rural municipality's planning section chief Narendra Dutta Bhatta said the municipality has prepared a multi-year plan and constructed stations, breaking systems and wires at two places.     

He informed that the zipline service will come into regular operation soon. Zipline technician and trainer Badri Ghimire said that the work related to breaking system was tested in the first phase.     

The service will be brought into operation regularly after the second phase of testing, he said.(RSS)
